I am a Research Associate in Digital Humanities at the Open University, where I run the Digital Humanities at The Open University Thematic Research Network. My research interests are digital editions, 19th-century Irish literature, and book history.
Previously, I taught Textual Studies to the students of the MA in Literature and Publishing, National University of Ireland Galway; worked as a Research fellow for the GREP (Gender, Culture and Identity) programme in University College Dublin, and with the Irish Virtual Research Library and Archive, James Joyce Library, UCD. I have taught courses on Digital Humanities and Research Methods.
My main research project is the Thomas Moore Archive, which will be re-launched this summer at the Moore Institute, NUI Galway. This blog is my “20% project” “2% project,” done in whatever little spare time I have. I plan to use it to experiment with using maps, image galleries, comments, and annotations, to represent and enrich Moore’s diary for a 21st-century audience.
